The problem.
“Somewhere around minute two” helps nobody in the edit.

Revision rounds rarely fail on content, they fail on form. With Exportlab every comment hangs on a frame.

Scattered channelsComments arrive by email, WhatsApp or phone call and get lost.
Vague timingsWithout a timecode you are guessing which moment is meant.
Conflicting framesSeveral people often do not mean the same moment.

On the frame, in a range, in the image.

A quick note, a long remark or a whole passage: every piece of feedback hangs on the exact moment it refers to.

Mark a time range.

Mark a range on the timeline and comment on it as a whole, instead of having to hit one single frame.

Draw a box into the picture so it is clear which corner of the frame is being talked about.

FAQ

Questions about video review.

Do my clients need an account?

No. With the review link they comment in the browser, protected by a PIN. They only get their own login if you invite them into the Client Portal (from the Creator plan).

Can I try video review on the trial?

Yes. On the 7-day trial you upload videos up to 500 MB and 5 minutes of total duration, without a credit card.

Which formats can I upload?

MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV and WebM. Exportlab transcodes them for streaming automatically. ProRes in MXF, R3D and BRAW are not supported.

How large can a video be?

That depends on the plan: 500 MB on the trial, 2 GB on Rookie, 5 GB on Creator, 10 GB on Ultimate and 20 GB on Team. No plan accepts a single file above 10 GB.

Which format do I export markers in?

As .edl in CMX3600 format for DaVinci Resolve. XML, FCPXML, SRT and CSV are not available. With the plugins you import comments directly as markers into Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.

Can I compare two versions side by side?

No. You and your client switch between versions, and the feedback stays with each version.
